Get started
Five minutes from install to your first device.
What you need
- A Homey Pro (2023 or newer, or Pro mini), a Homey Self-Hosted Server or Homey Cloud. All three work. Homey Cloud can't do live video or on-demand snapshots, though. See Homey Pro, Self-Hosted Server and Cloud.
- Your eufy account: the e-mail and password you use in the eufy app.
- The country the account was registered in. You'll be asked for it, and it matters more than you'd expect. See Why does the country matter?
You do not need a second eufy account. The old Eufy Security app told you to make one; this app doesn't need it. See Signing in.
1. Install the app
Install Anker Eufy from the Homey App Store.
If you already use Eufy Security or Eufy Clean, leave them installed. All three run side by side, so you can move over one device at a time. See Moving from the old apps.
2. Add your first device
In Homey, tap + → New device → Anker Eufy.
Pick the tile for what you're adding:
Tile What goes there Cameras indoor, outdoor, floodlight, solo and pan/tilt cameras Doorbells video doorbells HomeBase & hubs HomeBase stations and other hubs: guard mode, siren Locks smart locks Keypads keypads Sensors entry, motion, water-leak, smoke and CO sensors Robot vacuums robot vacuums Lawn mowers robot mowers Lights smart lights Smart Displays smart displays Choose where your eufy account is registered, then enter your e-mail and password.
If eufy asks for it, type the characters from the verification image (captcha), and/or the 6-digit code eufy e-mails you (two-factor verification).
Pick your devices from the list.
You only sign in once
The sign-in is shared by the whole app. The next time you add a device, from any tile, Homey goes straight to the device list.
On a Homey Pro or Self-Hosted Server, eufy devices on your network may also show up under Discovered devices. Tapping one starts the same sign-in. Cameras behind a HomeBase connect through the HomeBase, so they don't show up there. Add them from the Cameras tile.
3. Make your first Flow
A good first Flow sends a picture when someone is at the door:
- When A person was detected (your doorbell or camera)
- And A new Event image has arrived (wait up to 10 seconds)
- Then send a push notification with the camera's Event image
The middle card matters, because the detection arrives before its picture does. Without it you send the previous picture. Instead of the middle card, you can turn on Wait for the Event image in the device's settings. See Detections & Flows.
4. Explore
- Open a camera tile and tap the video to watch live.
- Add the Guard mode widget to your dashboard to arm your HomeBase in one tap.
- Look at a device's settings. Detection reset time, Wait for the Event image and Live video are the ones you might want to change.
